#Selfies in Sin City

Earlier this year, the term “selfie” was added to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary and it’s obvious why:  a “#selfie” search on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook produces hundreds of millions of photos. Perhaps the best Vegas souvenir isn’t something found at the gift shop, but an album of selfies posted to social media to show off to friends and family. Here are a few helpful hints to make sure the background is as amazing as the person looking into the camera:

  • A must-see on any selfie-taker’s list is the iconic Fountains of Bellagio, which was named the Top U.S. Landmark by TripAdvisor. At this world-renowned attraction, more than a thousand fountains dance, creating stunning choreographed shows and a romantic setting that also is perfect for couples wanting a cute selfie day or night. Those looking to heat up their selfies can pose in front of The Volcano at The Mirage, where the fiery spectacle erupts nightly every 30 minutes until midnight.
  • Proving to be the life of the party should be pretty easy when taking a selfie on the dance floor at LIGHT Nightclub at Mandalay Bay, where the hottest club-goers in Las Vegas may photobomb. Dancers can shuffle towards the DJ booth for an opportunity to snap a selfie while Sebastian Ingrosso, Baauer or Axwell man the ones and twos. Beacher’s Madhouse at MGM Grand can add star power to any selfie, well sort of. Celebrity impersonators including Mini Kim, Mini Kanye and Rocky Balboa can be found throughout the night and are always prepared to participate in a selfie opp.
  • The breathtaking Las Vegas skyline provides unique selfie opportunities at MGM Grand and ARIA. MGM Grand’s Terrace Suites feature an expansive outdoor patio with sweeping views of the famed Strip as well as additional space for entertaining and relaxing. The Corner Suites at ARIA offer sophisticated living and plush accommodations, each with an awe-inspiring view of the mountainous horizon or glamorous Las Vegas Boulevard.
